Life is a complete celebration in Goa. Choices are so many that, at times,
you may feel spoilt for them. Heart-stirring natural beauty, rustic
landscape, colonial relics, congenial ambiance and above all a people to
welcome you with all the warmth. But, before you take a head-on plunge into
this world of festivity and entertainment, you must be aware of certain
things to make your trip tussle-free and all the more enjoyable.
On the Beaches
If you are close to a river or stream that joins the sea, always swim at
least 300 m away from the river. Don't try to go deeper into the sea, unless
you are an expert swimmer. Enjoy only where the water is waist-deep. In
case, you get swept off your feet, don't ever fight against the power of
waves. Simply try to float between waves and swim towards the shore until
you can put your feet firmly down. Listen to the lifeguard and never ever
drink before diving.
While Dining
Goa is known to offer a wonderful culinary experience to all. There are
several restaurants and eating outlest in Goa serving both domestic and
international delicacies. However, the most popular are traditional Indian
food and ethnic Goan dishes.

lot of fun. Travelling by bus in Goa is the cheapest of options. You'll find

are flat-bottomed ferries that operate from early morning to late evening.
